This month's creations!

We've been quite busy here the past month! Add two more creations to our list and two more custom designs!

First is the Red Ruegamer:

Basic design with red lettering over visible black carbon fiber.

Then we have another "basic" design with white on black carbon fiber but with a fun little added touch to the stays:
Faster than a Locomotive!

Then we created "Bullet" for a very special customer... it will be her first time doing the Iron Man and we are so excited for her!

Lastly we have the Gold Lightening Tandem created and custom designed for a husband and wife team who we got the privilege of meeting recently!

Where to find us on the web

Hello all! Deven here again! As some of you have noticed, we are popping up all over the web! We found that so many of our riders are on various sites that we decided to make quite a few profiles in an effort to be more visible to them. So please forgive us if you received any spam, it was me learning the new sites and having a grand ol' time of it. I get a little overly enthusiastic. LOL!

For our and your convenience, I've posted a list of our profiles below. Please feel free to add us to your network if you wish (and don't worry if you have more than one, you can befriend us on all your profiles if you like). If we've missed any good sites, please let us know and I'll see about adding them to the list.

Introduction

Greetings and salutations! I’m Deven, Rue’s partner (in crime that is) and I’ll be your host for this evening’s blog. Please put your trays in the upright position and prepare for takeoff.

Some of you know me already, some of know me and just don’t know it but almost all of you are about to know me. Why? Because I’m the author of this entry and because I’ll be the front lines of communication with Rue Sports. Let’s face it, Rue needs to stay in the shop and create. I can’t create on that level but I can manage. So that’s my job; managing. I’ll be managing the emails, sites, profiles, etc. But have no fear, it might be my fingers doing the typing but it will be Rue’s words on the screen. I type 72 wpm and I think Rue can hunt and peck about 25 wpm… or something like that.

Anyhow, let’s get down to some business here, shall we?
First off, we’re going to start adding some entries from some of our pro riders, friends and general fellow cyclists. I figured you would all get bored just reading about the business end of Rue Sports and we don’t churn out bikes like a manufacturer, so little chance of us doing daily updates on our newest creations.
We do however have a great new way for our riders to see what we are up to! This leads into the second reason of this post:

Check out our events calendar now on our site at http://ruesports.com/news/calendar.html

If you have a bike in our shop, you can now track its progress on our calendar. And being it’s always subject to change, you should check it often.
I’m hoping to post some of our newest creations on the web soon but we prefer our riders to be the first to show them off.

If you already own a Ruegamer bike, send us a picture of you on it! We’d love to hear what you think of it and will post them on our blog if you wish!
Okay, that’s it for now. I’ll be back in a few days with some pics and more updates. Stay tuned.

Welcome to the world of Rue Sports where we don’t create bikes, we create riding experiences!

There is so much going on here at Rue Sports that we thought we’d start blogging about just to keep our customers up to date on the changes. That of course led us down a whole interesting path of other blogs and an idea of linking our customers’ blogs with our own. So the search is on! We’re going to be blogging our way across the web and finding not only those who ride Ruegamer bikes but also some great blogs from pros and enthusiasts alike. So if you know of one or five, send us the links and we’ll check them out!

Okay, so what’s going on here at Rue Sports…

Business:

The past year has been a difficult one, as many of you know, with the economy but also on a personal level. Unfortunately, life interfered with work in the worst way and some of my customers suffered for it. But that is no longer! We’re revamping the company and started by hiring Deven Daughter, a business consultant who will be working closely with our customers and doing a lot of our online presence.

Watch our website!

There are going to be a LOT of changes on our website over the next few months. One big change will be introducing a “Member’s Only” section for Ruegamer riders and customers. We wanted to do something different, something more elite for those that enjoy a Ruegamer riding experience. We’ve discovered there’s a great deal of energy circling about our bikes and thought, “hey! Let’s get all these people together to help them inspire us and each other!” And our customers really do inspire us to keep challenging our abilities, ideas and passion for what we do!

We are also adding calendars so you can find us at local events, shows and races!

There will also be a page to find us on places like MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

News flash!

We’re working on creating a cycling newsletter and introducing some up and coming riders, bikes, designs and ideas in each installment. We’re looking for photographers and writers that would be willing to contribute to our newsletter and possibly get involved with some other projects we are thinking of implementing in the next year.

Such a tease!

Yes, we are sssssssssooooooooooo going to torture you with tidbits of information on our latest projects, ideas and designs. Most of our concepts are introduced at bike shows but we plan on torturing those of you who will continue to read our blogs with all sorts of hints, teases and peeks at what’s going on in our laboratory.

A picture speaks a thousand words…

Then videos write epic novels! And we plan on putting War and Peace to shame! I can’t tell you quite what they are going to feature just yet… but it will definitely be interesting and more than you’d expect!

Well that’s all for the time being folks. A lot to do here and Deven is a slave driver when it comes to work needed to be done! So I better wrap this up before she starts to lock me in the lab and never let me out!

More to come,

Rue
